SEX CELLS, UNCENSORED

“Sex Cells” at Emmanuel Fremin Gallery

The most universal subject of art through the ages, the human nude has been a vehicle for commercialization, a symbol of freedom, and a topic of heated debate. In “Sex Cells,” eight contemporary photographers explore how we direct sex appeal, both consciously and unconsciously, as a means of empowerment and manipulation. From the provocative to the grotesque, the featured artists combine familiar props and subjects in an original manner as they tackle themes of seduction, bondage, religion and bestiality. A reception on Thursday night, June 28th, kicks off the month long exhibition at the Emmanuel Fremin Gallery.

“Sex Cells”, curated by Asli Unal is on display from June 28th-July 28th, 2012 at the Emmanuel Fremin Gallery, 547 West 27th Street, Suite 508, New York, NY 10001.

The beauty of Monica Watkins is not just a reflection of the external, but her true beauty comes from within… her selflessness, charitable heart, and will to help children, and young women is empowering – A true philanthropist – this honestly should be contagious!!

This woman has been nothing but an inspiration to me, and those she has come in contact with. It was a great pleasure to work with Monica, and I look forward for more opportunities in the near future. Cheers to an amazing woman!!!

DOUBLE EXPOSURE

Double Exposure… K+R ran a story on this HOT power couple for this summer’s issue “Secret Service.”  I had the pleasure of meeting with Emmanuel + Mary  in Hong Kong sometime in February  - I immoralized them with my lens,  or perhaps they immoralized me!  They were absolutely the sexiest couple I have had in front of my lens.  I just loved their energy together… Hot, Hot, HOT!

DJ NELLY from {STADJ}

This beauty, Nelly Munoz from STADJ {a DJ company based in NY}  was amazing to work with.  Yes, she has beautiful long legs, and a stunning face. However, what was so grabbing from Nelly was her sense of humor !  Nelly was a little firecracker  - was so much fun to work with her!  I think I found my new muse!!

Nelly’s playlist will be featured in the forthcoming issue of  Karin + Raoul – “Secret Service“! due to come out July 4th – keep your eyes on the prize!!

BEAUTIFUL FACES {PHOENIX CHOU}

I was delighted to work with beautiful actress Phoenix Chou.  I was warned that she will own my camera, and I would fall under her magical spell… .  She definitely captivated me with her presence, her stories, and what really pulled me in was her energy !  She is eloquently romantic  - Phoenix Chou is poetry in motion!
